Spring 2009. Internship. Iowa Judicial Branch.

This was a magazine designed to illustrate the efforts of the court system to better Iowan's lives. It was designed as a 4.25 by 8.5 handout for the State of the Judiciary speech in February 09.

Fall 08. Internship. Iowa Judicial Branch

Most of the print based media the Iowa Judicial Branch previously used was created in Microsoft Word. One of the primary tasks during my internship was to update the media and give it a bit of an "artistic face lift".

Summer 08. Internship.

The content of this PDF was originally an eNewsletter, but the client wanted it to be a PDF as well, to reach customers without internet access. I created the newsletter based on previous designs[and those of the eNewsletter], and added my own typographic flare to enhance the visual appeal.

For reference, here is the eNewsletter, in a template someone previously created.

This is a PDF created to demonstrate the difference between two products, with the design mimicking that of the company.

This was one of my first projects, and quick company benefits overview to be used in marketing towards clients.

These were concepts for a 4 color process ad designed for America Funding. The second one was the final version used.

Spring 2007. Typography I. Type books.

For a project, I was assigned to create a book about 5 different typefaces. The book was to include history of the type, historic and current examples, as well as be aesthetically pleasing. I chose to make a series 5 separate type books. These 3 were my favorite compositions. [click each image to download the pdf]

Spring 2007: Logos for Alpha Kappa Psi Website Redesign

One of our assignments in Web Design was to redesign a website; including the color scheme, layout, and logo. Here were some of the design concepts I came up with for our Alpha Kappa Psi chapters website, finally settling with the bottom design. These were all created in Adobe Illustrator, then modified for the web in Fireworks.

Spring 2007. Logos for Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity Formal

My business fraternity asked me to create a logo for our spring formal which would be simple enough to have printed on plastic cups as souvenirs. These are of the more popular designs I came up with, and the bottom one was used for the dance. The top image is the national Alpha Kappa Psi logo. These images were created in Adobe Illustrator.
